WORK EXPERIENCE
Work experience can gain you excellent access to working alongside experienced staff members, building a rapport with service users to establish trust, which is crucial in our line of work, but also help you build skills that you will only gain from being in a workplace environment.
Even if the support work isn’t for you, we can offer opportunities ranging from Marketing to Finance and support you with anything that will help you gain skills within the charity sector.
Please note that Maggs can only work with students who are 18+, so please bear this in mind when applying.
Application FormONE-OFF PROJECTS
We appreciate that some courses don’t offer the time for placements. However, we are lucky to be surrounded by some fantastic schools, colleges and universities, who we work with closely to this day and would prefer to offer their time for one-off projects for all students whilst still gaining knowledge of the homeless community.
For example, we’ve recently had Level 1 Art Students complete a project with us and decorate our Clothing Project with their art on the walls. The possibilities of working for Maggs are endless!
Maggs can only work with students 18+, so we ask you to consider this when contacting us for opportunities.

Completing a university placement at Maggs allowed me to develop my understanding of homelessness and the challenges of working within the sector. In particular, the experience gained with soft communication skills by engaging with such a wide range of individuals has been invaluable to my later employment at Maggs.
