Skills-Based Volunteering
Why it Matters
People we support are often rebuilding their confidence, identity, and skills after periods of extreme hardship. Offering your time to share knowledge — whether it’s a one-off workshop or a regular session — can be empowering, uplifting, and life-changing.
You don’t need to be perfect — just passionate, kind, and reliable.
Skills-Based Volunteering
How It Works
We’ll work with you to match your skills with the right opportunity, based on your time, interests, and availability. This could be a single session, a short-term project, or an ongoing commitment — it’s completely flexible.
All volunteers will receive an induction, safeguarding guidance, and any support you need to make your contribution safe and impactful.
Ready to Share Your Skills?
We’d love to hear from you.
Email us at volunteers@maggsdaycentre.co.uk with a bit about yourself, your skillset, and how you’d like to help.
Let’s explore what’s possible together.
I joined Maggs because I moved into the Worcester area and wanted to continue volunteering to support homeless people. I always look forward to my volunteering days - all the staff and volunteers are really committed to helping our clients, and I get a feeling of having done something useful as part of a great team.
