Our Volunteer Ambassadors play a vital role in raising awareness of homelessness and supporting Maggs through outreach, events, and advocacy. Whether you’re sharing our story at a local school, hosting a fundraising event, or collecting donations on our behalf, you’re helping us reach more people and create lasting change.
If you’re passionate about social justice, confident speaking to others, and want to represent a cause that matters — this role might be for you.
Volunteer Ambassadors
What does an ambassador do?
As an Ambassador, you’ll act as a representative of Maggs in the community. This can include:
- Speaking about Maggs at community groups, schools, or workplaces
- Hosting collection drives for essential items (toiletries, socks, etc.)
- Supporting fundraising events or running your own
- Attending local events or fairs on behalf of Maggs
- Helping spread awareness through social media or local networks
- Encouraging others to volunteer, fundraise, or get involved

Who We're Looking For
- Friendly, approachable and confident engaging with the public
- Passionate about helping people who are homeless or at risk
- Organised and proactive, with good communication skills
- Willing to attend occasional training and keep up to date with Maggs’ work
- Able to represent our values: Dignity, Hope, and Change
No formal experience is required — just a desire to make a difference and be a positive voice in your community. Full guidance and support will be provided.
