Outreach & Community Support

What We Offer

Practical Support & Essentials

We provide practical support including food, clothing, hygiene items, rough sleeper packs, and other essentials to help people stay safe and meet immediate needs.

Housing & Homelessness Support

Our teams support individuals experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, or housing instability through advice, referrals, advocacy, and support to navigate accommodation pathways.

Health & Wellbeing Engagement

We help individuals access healthcare, harm reduction services, mental health and wellbeing support through trusted relationships and ongoing engagement.

Community Drop-Ins & Outreach Sessions

Support is delivered within community settings, local hubs, drop-ins, and outreach environments designed to feel accessible, welcoming and safe.

Relationship-Based Support

We take time to build trust, recognising that meaningful engagement often happens gradually and at an individual’s own pace. Our approach is non-judgemental, person-centred and rooted in dignity and consistency.

Connection Into Wider Services

Outreach & Community Support acts as a gateway into wider support across Maggs and partner organisations, helping individuals access housing, health, recovery and longer-term support services.

Outreach & Community Support

Meeting People Where They Are

Not everyone is able — or ready — to walk through the doors of a day centre or formal service.

Our outreach approach removes barriers by providing support within communities and trusted local environments, helping people access support in ways that feel safer, more familiar and more accessible.

We work flexibly across Worcestershire through:

  • Community drop-ins
  • Local hubs
  • Partner venues
  • Multi-agency environments
  • Outreach sessions and community settings

This helps us reach individuals who may otherwise remain disconnected from support.

WHERE WE PROVIDE OUTREACH SUPPORT

Malvern & Wychavon

Our outreach work across Malvern and Wychavon focuses on supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or wider vulnerability.

Through community outreach sessions and ongoing engagement, we provide practical support, advice, housing-related support, and connection into wider services. We work flexibly alongside local partners and community settings to help individuals access support earlier and reduce barriers to engagement.

Redditch & Bromsgrove

Our North Worcestershire outreach work provides community-based support across Redditch and Bromsgrove.

This includes homelessness drop-ins, wrap-around support sessions, partnership-based outreach, and practical wellbeing support delivered within trusted community environments. Our approach helps people access support closer to home and within settings that feel safe and familiar.

Worcester City (ITT)

Our Intensive Tenancy Transition (ITT) service provides targeted support to individuals moving into or sustaining accommodation within Worcester City.

Working alongside people with complex needs, the service offers intensive, person-centred support to help individuals maintain tenancies, build independent living skills and navigate challenges that may place accommodation at risk.

Support can include tenancy sustainment, budgeting, practical household support, liaison with landlords and housing providers, access to health and wellbeing services, and connection into wider community resources. Through consistent engagement and tailored interventions, the service helps people build stability, confidence and longer-term independence.

HOW OUTREACH MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Outreach is often the starting point for longer-term change.

By building trusted relationships and engaging people consistently, we help individuals:

  • Access support earlier
  • Reduce crisis and risk
  • Improve health and wellbeing
  • Engage with housing and support services
  • Move towards greater stability

For many people, simply having someone consistently show up can be life-changing.

Outreach does not operate in isolation.

Our teams work closely with the wider Maggs service network, helping individuals access:

  • Crisis Support
  • Housing & Accommodation
  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Practical Support
  • Community & Recovery

This creates a connected pathway of support shaped around individual needs.

Find The Right Support

Help provide food, essentials and practical support across Worcestershire.

Our outreach services are commissioned by local authorities across Worcestershire, including dedicated outreach roles funded by Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Councils, and by Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Councils. This funding helps our teams provide support within communities, drop-ins, outreach sessions and partner venues.

However, these contracts do not cover everything needed to support people effectively.

Many of the practical items we provide — including food, drinks, hygiene products, clothing, rough sleeper packs and refreshments available at community drop-ins — are funded through charitable donations and the generosity of local supporters.

Your support helps our outreach teams respond flexibly to immediate needs, build trusted relationships, and provide the small practical items that can make a big difference during difficult times.

Every donation helps us continue meeting people where they are and providing support when it is needed most.
