INTENSIVE TRANSITION TEAM

A CONSISTENT, TRUSTED POINT OF CONTACT

Typically, ITT works with the most complex, hard to reach entrenched rough sleepers who have previously refused any other support or have felt let down by previous agencies. Therefore, our team will develop a single, consistent, and trusted point of contact with the individual being supported and work in a way that makes safeguarding personal – hear the person, respect the person, and be honest with the person.

DELIVERING WRAP-AROUND SUPPORT

The scheme is to deliver wrap-around support, and we do not remove the ITT support at whatever stage the individual may be in, even if there have been small scale improvements. Even if the individual has gone from rough sleeping to securing permanent accommodation, our ITT team will work alongside them the complete way and never pass the individual over, which could break the trust and engagement.

ENDING THE CYCLE OF HOMELESSNESS

Our staff work in a trauma-informed way, with a good understanding of how trauma and abuse may have impacted people’s lives and how it affects their current behaviours and, ultimately, end the cycle of homelessness and rough sleeping through targeted interventions.

Our Intensive Transition Team is funded by Worcester City Council. For more information, please contact info@maggsdaycentre.co.uk.
