It’s been an exciting week at Maggs! We’re excited to announce that Worcester estate agents have come together to support us and our Christmas campaign, ‘Bring Cheer to the Homeless’.

Estate agents will advertise their campaign directly in their window displays to help drive awareness of our cause and boost donations over the festive period.

Helen Taylor, Director at Allan Morris Worcester, explains: “Here at Allan Morris, we’re always looking to support local charities and do what we can to help those in need.

Maggs is a Worcester homegrown charity that has been a staple within our community for almost forty years. We’re delighted to help raise awareness for such a worthy cause, especially for those in need at what should be a happy time of year.”

Other estate agents who have pledged their support and displayed our campaign in their window displays are Arden Estate Agents, Martin & Co., and Nicol & Co. in Malvern.

Dominique Thompson, Sales and Valuation Manager at Arden Estate says: “Maggs is our chosen charity for 2024. It’s even more important to support local homeless charities this time of year, but we will carry it through all fundraising events in 2024. Everyone deserves a home at Christmas, and we want to support local charities as much as possible.”

Arden Estate Agents have also begun showcasing their Christmas charity window display, ‘Bear a thought for the homeless this Christmas’, to raise money and awareness. Supporters can purchase a bear, and all proceeds will go directly to Maggs.

They are also asking kind supporters if they would be keen to donate bears to help grow the cause and maximise donations, so if you have any lying around and they’re eager to be rehomed, please contact the team!

Melissa Blewitt, our Marketing and Relations Officer, confirms: “We’re always overwhelmed by the generous support of local businesses in Worcester and are thrilled that so many estate agents have chosen to help Maggs and raise awareness for our service users, especially at this time of year.”

“Christmas is a warm, fun, festive time for some, but unfortunately, our service users aren’t so lucky. We aim to bring light in what can be quite a dark time for others, but we cannot do this without the help of our local community. On behalf of the at Maggs, I cannot thank each agent enough for helping support us and our service users this Christmas.”
