Every year, with the help of our passionate staff team and a cohort of wonderful, supportive volunteers, we aim to host a number of festive events to provide warmth, companionship, and vital services to people facing homelessness at one of the toughest times of the year.
We’re incredibly lucky to have so many offers of kindness, whether volunteering opportunities or gifts in kind. However, we thought it would be nice to offer different ways to show your support by donating to one of our festive events.

Christmas Day lunch at the Cardinal Hat
We’re so excited to announce that the team at the Cardinal Hat is hosting a Christmas Day Lunch for rough sleepers in Worcester City.
Working in collaboration with Maggs and Worcester BID’s Safe Space, the team are supported by various businesses throughout the city to provide not only the lunch with all the trimmings, but 5 vital items for them to choose from, but also a takeaway lunch for boxing day too.
The team still needs donations, so if you would like to donate, please contact Holly and the team here.
Christmas lunches at our day centres
Alongside the wonderful offer from the Cardinal Hat, we would still like to host our own special event and invite all service users that we work with across the county to join us in celebration. We will be hosting a Christmas lunch in our Malvern Day Centre on Tuesday 17th December and one in the Worcester Day Centre on Thursday 19th December.
We’re looking for donations to make this happen, which will include a full Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, crackers, and some festive fun! Please get in touch if you would like to be involved, or alternatively, you can donate specifically to the lunches using this link.
Christmas concerts at Worcester Day Centre
Throughout December and during our coffee mornings, our very own Support Worker, Chewie has tapped into his roster of musical contacts and organised festive concerts to bring some ambience to our Worcester Day Centre.
Everyone is welcome, so please feel free to join us.
Christmas party, in collaboration with our partnering agencies
Alongside the teams at Cranstoun, St Paul’s Hostel and Emerging Futures, we’re hosting a Christmas party at Hope Church on Tuesday 17th December.
Christmas Decoration Day
Over the years, we have been incredibly lucky to be donated beautiful Christmas ornaments and trees to help bring festive cheer to our day centres.
The team at the Worcester Day Centre is arranging a special decorating day on Wednesday 4th December and will be encouraging our service users to get involved and make it their own.

If you would like to donate to Maggs this year, please get in touch with us at info@maggsdaycentre.co.uk or visit our Christmas page for more information.
