We would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to the team at Shoe Med, who kindly donated over 100 pairs of shoes to our Clothing Project last week.

Steph, our Volunteer Coordinator/Clothing Project Team Leader explains: “We recently received an extremely generous donation of shoes from Shoe Med which has already made a difference to those we work with. Within one day of being on the shelves, 8 pairs have already been chosen, one pair by a chap who had no shoes when he arrived looking for some support.

Most of us take our shoes for granted and can select a pair suitable to wear for the activity we are going to – some of those we work with always need strong, watertight shoes and boots but have to settle for trainers or shoes with holes in them. I know I find this difficult to imagine so this donation will really make a difference and we are thrilled that Shoe Med selected us for their very generous donation.”

Our Clothing Project welcomed over 1300 people last year, whether they are rough sleepers, in temporary accommodation, recently accommodation, asylum seekers, to name a new!

Everything in the project is completely free and equally we’re completely reliant on donations to stock the location so we’re extremely grateful to organisations such as Shoe Med, who kindly donate vital items that are so desperately needed.
