Following last week’s Board meeting, the Board of Trustees and staff team at Maggs would like to say a sincere thank you to Dr Clive Skidmore as he retires from the Maggs Board of Trustees after many years of dedicated service to the organisation. 💚

Since joining the Board in 2018, Clive has played an important role in supporting Maggs through a significant period of growth, development and change.

Bringing extensive experience across housing, local government and organisational leadership, Clive has provided valuable guidance and support to the charity, helping shape and strengthen our accommodation and housing-related work, including the development of the Maggs Accommodation Project (MAP).

Alongside his role as a Trustee and former Chair of Trustees, Clive has also been a passionate supporter of the organisation’s long-term sustainability, contributing to major fundraising activity and supporting the development of services for people experiencing homelessness across Worcestershire.

Importantly, Clive’s contribution has never been limited to the Boardroom. He has remained closely connected to the day-to-day work of Maggs, including volunteering within our Clothing Project and maintaining a strong understanding of the people and communities we support.

While Clive made it clear that he did not want any fuss made around his retirement, both trustees and staff felt it important to formally recognise and thank him for his commitment, leadership and contribution over the years.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, staff team, volunteers and the wider Maggs community, thank you, Clive, for your dedication, generosity and support.

We wish you all the very best for the future.
