While Christmas may feel a long way off, at Maggs we’re already beginning preparations!
For individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty and hardship across Worcestershire, winter brings additional challenges. Cold weather, isolation and increased financial pressure can make an already tough situation even harder. That’s why planning ahead is so important.
This year, we’re proud to be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2026, a fantastic opportunity to unlock match funding and help community donations go even further.
How the Christmas Challenge Works
The Big Give Christmas Challenge is a matched funding campaign, meaning that donations made during the live appeal are doubled… but only if we first secure enough pledges to unlock that funding.
That’s why we’re currently looking for pledges from individuals, businesses and community groups. Every pledge helps us build towards our target and maximise the impact of donations when the campaign goes live.
Pledges can be made by:
- Individuals
- Businesses and workplaces
- Schools, churches and community groups
- Trusts and foundations
Importantly, pledges are only collected if the campaign is successful, meaning there is no risk if the target isn’t reached.
Why Your Support Matters
By supporting our Christmas Challenge, you’ll be helping us provide vital services and support throughout the winter months.
With your help, we can continue to offer:
- Practical support and advice
- Warm, welcoming spaces
- Food and hot meals
- Clothing and essential items
- A sense of connection and hope during a difficult time
Whether it’s helping someone stay warm, access support or simply feel seen and valued, your contribution can make a real and lasting difference.
Make a Pledge Today
Every pledge we secure helps unlock additional funding and increases the impact of every pound donated.
