We are delighted to officially open the doors to our brand-new Maggs Redditch Hub — a safe, warm and welcoming space designed to support people experiencing homelessness across North Worcestershire.
This project has been months in the making, and its success is owed entirely to the kindness, hard work and generosity of our partners, local businesses, supporters and staff. The Hub is more than a building — it’s a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together with compassion and purpose.
A Community Built This Hub
Transforming an empty space into a fully equipped support hub requires teamwork, expertise, and a great deal of heart. We’ve been overwhelmed by the number of people and organisations who stepped forward to help us create a place where people feel safe, respected and cared for.
Our heartfelt thanks go to:
💚 LRG — for the generous donation of carpet tiles and soft seating, helping us create a warm and welcoming environment.
🚛 Kingsbury Transport — for organising and delivering key items that helped us move quickly and efficiently.
❄️ Pete Thompson — for kindly funding our new fridge-freezer, enabling us to safely store food for those who rely on our services.
🧹 Kidderminster Carpets & the Longbridge team — for supporting us with fitting and making sure the space was ready for use.
🛠️ Matt at Love Your Floor — for offering specialist flooring advice and ensuring we made the best long-term decisions.
🤝 Colin Bates (Worcestershire County Council) — for invaluable introductions, guidance and continued support throughout the project.
🧡 Our Maggs team — whose unseen hard work, problem-solving and determination kept this project moving every step of the way.
A Special Acknowledgement
We also want to extend a very special thank you to Lauren Ebeling, our Service Lead for North Worcestershire & Harm Reduction.
Lauren has worked tirelessly behind the scenes — coordinating contractors, managing logistics, sourcing equipment, solving problems, and ensuring every detail was ready on time. Her leadership, organisation and quiet determination have played a huge role in bringing the Maggs Redditch Hub to life.
This space simply would not have come together without her dedication.
What the Hub Means for Our Community
The new Maggs Redditch Hub is a vital step forward in supporting people at risk of or experiencing homelessness in North Worcestershire. It will provide:
- A safe place to rest and recharge
- Access to food, clothing, and essentials
- Support with housing, health, and wellbeing
- A compassionate team offering guidance without judgement
Thanks to the incredible collective effort behind this project, we can now offer consistent support in an environment that feels dignified, respectful and truly reflective of the community spirit that made it possible.
Thank You for Helping Us Rewrite the Story
To everyone who donated, advised, lifted, fitted, delivered, organised, coordinated — and to everyone who cheered us on along the way — thank you.
The Maggs Redditch Hub stands as a powerful reminder that when a community comes together with empathy and purpose, lives can be changed.
💚 Together, we’re rewriting the story for people experiencing homelessness across Worcestershire.
