We’re delighted to share that we’ve officially opened our new Maggs Redditch Hub on Church Green East. This is a big step in our mission to support people experiencing homelessness, hardship and social exclusion across North Worcestershire.
From this welcoming base, our North Worcestershire and Harm Reduction team can offer practical, person-centred support. You can come to us for drop-in help, housing and benefits advice, health and wellbeing signposting, clothing assistance, and outreach — all designed to meet people where they are and help them take the next steps toward stability and independence.
As our Chief Executive, Andy Price, says:
“Having a dedicated space here means we can respond faster, work more closely with Redditch Borough Council and our community partners, and ensure that those who need us most can access help quickly and without barriers.”
Cllr Bill Hartnett (housing portfolio, Redditch Borough Council) added:
“Partnership with Maggs strengthens our community’s resilience. This new hub complements our joint mission to ensure help is accessible where it’s needed most. We’re proud to support their work and to see such an important service firmly rooted in Redditch.”
Our Service Lead for North Worcestershire and Harm Reduction, Lauren Ebeling, sums it up perfectly:
“This isn’t just about a building — it’s about creating a base where people know they will be welcomed without judgement, where they can access the support they need, and where we can build relationships that make a lasting difference.”
How you can help today
To make the hub fully welcoming and practical, we urgently need:
- Carpet (approx. 700–750 sq ft)
- A sofa (clean, good condition)
- A fridge freezer (full-height or large capacity)
If you can donate any of these items — or know someone who can — please email Melissa Blewitt at mblewitt@maggsdaycentre.co.uk with details and a contact number. Monetary donations towards these items are also very welcome.
