Our Maggs Allotment Project continues to grow (quite literally) and the transformation over the last few weeks has been nothing short of incredible. What began as the early stages of a vision is quickly becoming a vibrant, welcoming space that will soon offer new opportunities for the people we support.

Community in Action

Since sharing our first updates, the response from our supporters, partners and volunteers has been truly heart‑warming. This week, our friends at Unilite joined us once again for their second corporate volunteering day. With energy, teamwork and a willingness to get stuck in, they helped us build additional raised beds and continued shaping the allotment into a space full of potential.

Their hard work has already made a huge impact, and we’re so grateful for their ongoing commitment.

We also met up with our friends from St John’s Church, Worcester, to show them around our allotment and chat through the exciting plans we have for the space.
In a wonderful act of generosity, they have donated £500 to support the project, which will help us build additional raised beds and give the well‑loved shed some much‑needed TLC!

Support from the Brewers Foundation

We were equally delighted to receive a generous delivery from the Brewers Decorator Centres Foundation. Tools, materials and paint arrived just when we needed them most, giving us the resources to continue developing the space and bring the next stages of the project to life.

These practical donations make all the difference, helping us maintain the momentum and keep improving the allotment week by week.

Seeing the Transformation Take Shape

Standing on the allotment today, it’s remarkable to look back at where we started. What was once an overgrown, unused plot is steadily becoming a place of purpose, growth and community. And it’s only possible thanks to the kindness of partners who share their time, skills and resources so generously.

Every raised bed built, every tool donated and every hour volunteered moves us closer to creating a space that will offer:

  • Opportunities to learn new skills
  • Moments to improve wellbeing and confidence
  • A peaceful environment to spend time outdoors
  • Fresh produce grown by the people we support

These are small things that make a big difference — helping people reconnect, build confidence and experience something meaningful at their own pace.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We want to say a huge thank‑you to Unilite, the Brewers Foundation, and everyone else who has contributed to this project so far. Your support is helping us create something truly special.

We look forward to sharing more updates as the allotment continues to grow… and we can’t wait to show you the finished space!
