Join Maggs’ Big Give Campaign — Together, We Can Rewrite Lives
As the temperatures drop and the winter nights grow long, too many people are left out in the cold—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too. Homelessness steals more than a roof; it steals dignity, hope, and peace of mind.
This Christmas season, Maggs is launching a Big Give campaign (Tuesday 2nd – 9th December) to ensure that no one is cold, hungry, or alone. We’re calling on friends, supporters, and community members like you to stand with those who need it most.
Why your support matters more than ever
- Immediate needs are urgent. When someone has no home, simple basics like a hot meal, warm clothing, a shower, or a safe space can feel like luxuries. Your donation helps provide all of these.
- It’s not just about survival, but rebuilding. Through our day centres, we don’t only meet physical needs — our support workers connect people to healthcare, housing help and vital benefits, helping to rebuild lives with respect and opportunity.
- Every gift is amplified. During our Big Give window, your donation goes twice as far — meaning more meals, more services, more hope.
What your gift will do
Your generosity enables Maggs to:
- Serve hot meals, warm drinks, and nutritious food
- Provide clean clothes, showers, and essential hygiene items
- Offer emotional support, casework, and referrals to health, housing and welfare services
- Keep our day centres as safe, non-judgmental spaces for rest, conversation and care
Together, we turn small acts of compassion into life-changing moments of relief.
How you can take part
- Donate during the Big Give campaign window. This is when your gift will have the greatest impact.
- Share our campaign with your network. Post on social media, forward our emails, talk to peers — word-of-mouth helps us reach more people.
- Display our Christmas 2025 Wish List in your school, workplace or community space to raise awareness of practical donation needs.
- Volunteer your time or resources. Whether it’s helping serve meals, sorting donations, or running festive activities — every contribution counts.
A heartfelt appeal: the need that weighs heaviest
One of our most urgent gaps right now is men’s clothing in small sizes. These items are in desperate demand — from warm layers to underwear, socks, or jackets — and they bring immediate comfort to those in crisis.
If you have clothing items you can spare, or know someone who does, now is the time to act.
A call for hope — because no one should be forgotten
This Christmas, let’s rewrite the stories of those whom society often overlooks. Together, we can bring warmth, comfort, dignity and kindness to people experiencing homelessness.
Please donate if you can. Share, speak up, spread the love. A little generosity can ripple into hope and healing.
Please visit the campaign page and donate what you can.
Together, we’ll make sure hope, warmth, and dignity reach every person who needs it.
