This year, Maggs is celebrating an incredible milestone – 40 years of supporting people experiencing homelessness across Worcestershire. As we reflect on four decades of compassion, resilience, and community spirit, we know that none of it would have been possible without the people who give their time and energy to help us.
To mark our 40th anniversary, we’re inviting you to be part of our story by volunteering with us.
Right now, we’re looking for volunteers to support our day centre teams in both Worcester and Malvern. These roles are people-focused, and perfect for anyone who enjoys a warm chat over a cup of tea.
Current Volunteering Opportunities:
☕ Worcester Day Centre
-
Tuesdays: 8:45am/9:00am – 13:00am (or until 11:00am if preferred)
-
Fridays: 8:45am/9:00am – 11:00am
You’ll be making and serving hot drinks, offering breakfast, and helping to create a safe, welcoming space for our service users. No cooking experience required – just a friendly face and a listening ear.
🥣 Malvern Day Centre (September cover)
-
Tuesdays: 8:30am – 11:00am
Work alongside one of our experienced volunteers to prepare breakfast, serve hot drinks, and share a kind conversation or two.
These roles might sound small, but they have a big impact. Volunteers are at the heart of what we do – they offer warmth, dignity and connection to those who often feel unseen.
Whether you’re looking to give back, gain experience, or simply be part of something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you. Every hour you give helps us continue our mission – not just for this anniversary year, but for the years to come.
