Outreach
Our outreach teams provide practical support directly within the community, helping to ensure that people can access support in a way that works for them. This includes distributing essential items, offering on-the-spot support and advice, and engaging with individuals who may not otherwise access services. Through this approach, we are able to ensure that support reaches people wherever they are.

“Sometimes practical support can change everything.”
Following a relationship breakdown, Adam became homeless and was sleeping in his car whilst continuing to work.
After being referred to Maggs, staff supported him to access emergency advice, connect with housing services, and attend a local drop-in for further support. Alongside this, he was provided with clothing, footwear and practical essentials to help him manage day-to-day life.
The team continued working alongside Adam, helping him navigate housing options and access financial support for a deposit on a room.
Once he moved into accommodation, further support was arranged to help him settle in, including essential household items and furniture.
Adam later messaged staff to thank them for the support he received during an incredibly difficult period in his life.
