£100 will provide food for a whole week - 510 meals
that's hot breakfast for 25 and lunch for 60 people, six days of the week
£50 pays for two overnight spaces in the Night Assessment Centre
that brings two rough sleepers indoors during the coldest nights of the year and potentially saves two lives
£30 provides an hour's appointment in our free counselling service
that's a lifeline for someone suffering from mental ill-health or depression
£25 will buy a warm and waterproof sleeping bag
that could save the life of someone living on the street
£10 pays a skilled project worker for an hour
and here's what they do in an average hour:
- Make two doctor's appointments on behalf of vulnerable clients
- Sort out a benefits or housing problem
- Sell twenty Big Issues to four different vendors
- Perform an initial assessment on a new client and find them accommodation
- Refer a client for clothes or other items from the Maggs Clothing Project
- Chat with a lonely or isolated person in need of emotional support
£5 provides non-stop hot tea and coffee throughout the week
giving warmth and comfort in a place that's a refuge from people's prejudice and judgments
