Impact of Coronavirus on Services

By 4th September 2020 Uncategorised

We were advised by the Government to close both Day Centres on 16th March 2020. This has had an impact on the services that we can provide to the homelessness and vulnerable members of our community.

During lock down, all rough sleepers were offered temporary accommodation and our Outreach Team continued to support all those service users during that 4 month period.

We began to reopen both Day Centres in August, but services have been restricted due to the ongoing social distancing rules. We are only serving takeaway cold food at the moment but hoping to expand that to hot food in October.

The clothing project continued to offer a service, albeit limited, but from 7th September 2020 we are reopening at the usual hours of Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9-12. All donations must now be left in the rear car park at the collection point.

Activities, for obvious reasons, have not yet recommenced.
